Mike Wills
Mike has been a long-time geek. He used to have to reinstall Windows on his dad’s computer in order to fix something he messed up. Fast forward many years, Mike now prefers to program them than fix them for his day job. He has been programming in RPG on the iSeries* since 2000 and has delved some into other languages including Java, C#.Net, and PHP. His other computer-based hobby is independent media (including podcasting).
Besides computers, Mike enjoys time with his wife and two children. He also enjoys role-playing games with his friends, wilderness camping and fishing with his father and “modern” camping with his family and in-laws.
The following is a list of most of the major things Mike is involved in online:
- This website – While not updated often, this is the place where Mike posts his thoughts either by audio or by written text.
- Podcast Mike Productions – The place for all of the shows and social media endevors Mike does.
- Mike’s Hotdish – Mike releases at least two shows a month. This show features great music from independent bands and some fun news or humorous stories.
- midrange.com Community – Mike is heavily involved in several of the lists on this site including MIDRANGE-L, RPG-L, and is moderator for SystemiDotNet.
- IMHO – The blog at Midrange.com that Mike occasionally contributes articles to.
- Twitter – Follow Mike’s daily thoughts, questions, and musings in 140 characters or less on Twitter or just @MikeWills me to get his attention.
- Facebook – Interact with Mike on his Facebook page.
*The system has many names. AS/400, iSeries, System i, and is currently called the IBM i (I think).
